Craccum is a 40-page weekly publication of the Auckland University Students’ Association. Founded in 1927 by the Auckland University College Men’s Common Room Committee, the magazine focuses on voicing the thoughts and opinions of students and covers all manners of topics and issues, including news, politics, and arts and culture.
The position of Editor(s) is elected annually by members of AUSA. Elections are typically held during mid-August in conjunction with the AUSA Executive and portfolio elections.
Craccum is distributed weekly on the University of Auckland City campus and to satellite campuses around Auckland, including Grafton, Epsom and Waiheke Island. You can pick up a copy at the City campus from wooden boxes dotted around in these locations: the Quad, Science Centre, Engineering Building, ELAM, School of Architecture & Planning, OGGB, Arts 1, Human Sciences Building, Kate Edger Commons, School of Music, Law School, the Symonds Street Underpass and the General Library.
